Happy Prospector User Manual

YOUR USE OF THIS SOFTWARE AND DATA WILL BE DEEMED TO BE YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

This app provides Gold Prospectors in Western Australia with real time positional information using their smart phone or tablet device (IOS or Android) to show their current position on a basic outdoors/topographical map with the ability to overlay the Western Australian Department of Mines Tenement Data so the user knows if they are on a live or pending tenement. This makes the user’s smartphone/tablet a powerful tool to know exactly where they are on the ground in relation to Mining, Prospecting or Exploration tenements, giving the user the confidence to know that they are prospecting legally.

The App allows the user to easily update the tenement data when in mobile coverage range or when they have access to the internet, and will display the last downloaded data file information.  It is the users’ responsibility to update the tenement data file on a regular basis, noting that the file is updated by the Department of Mines and Petroleum on a daily basis.

Whilst every care has been taken in development of this app no responsibility is taken for the accuracy of the data, maps or how it is displayed, and it is the users’ responsibility to ensure that they are prospecting legally.  Users should also ensure that the accuracy of the displayed position is correct and not rely solely on this app as a means of navigation.
